Clip Camp Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Clip Camp (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with clip-camp.com, subdomains we operate under that domain, our Telegram bot, Mini App, PWA, and related services (the “Services”). The Services are offered primarily to users in India.

By using the Services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. We may change this policy at any time by posting an updated version on clip-camp.com. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Information we may collect

We may collect the following categories of information, depending on how you use the Services:

Telegram and account identifiers — data made available through Telegram or our authentication flows (for example Telegram user ID and profile fields permitted by Telegram and your settings).
Profile and onboarding — information you choose to provide (for example language, location, phone verification status).
Payout-related information — for example UPI or other payout identifiers and verification status, processed through payment partners.
Communications — content of messages you send to us or in support, appeals, or moderation channels we operate.
Connected social accounts (optional) — if you initiate linking, OAuth tokens (stored encrypted on our systems) and metrics or metadata about linked YouTube or Meta (Instagram/Facebook) accounts and content, within the scopes you approve (for example views, engagement, identifiers, post URLs).
Technical and usage data — logs, timestamps, events, IP address, device or browser type, and similar data generated by use of the Services.
Cookies and similar technologies — as described in our Cookie Policy.
Third-party sources — Telegram, Google, Meta, and payment partners may provide data to us according to their terms and your authorizations.

Providing information is voluntary except where required for a feature you choose to use; without it, some features may be unavailable.

How we may use information

We may use information for any purpose related to operating, securing, improving, or promoting the Services, including:

authentication, account management, and delivery of features (courses, tasks, squads, notifications, analytics, trend content);
linking and maintaining social accounts and calculating performance, achievements, Trust Score, and payouts where applicable;
fraud prevention, abuse detection, enforcement of our Terms, and protection of users and our rights;
communication about the Services;
compliance with law and response to lawful requests;
internal analytics, research, and aggregation or de-identification where permitted by law.

We determine purposes and means of processing within the scope of applicable law.

Sharing of information

We may share information with:

service providers (hosting, messaging, analytics, fraud tools, payment processors) under confidentiality and use restrictions we deem appropriate;
Google and Meta when you connect accounts or we call their APIs within approved scopes;
other users only such squad, task, or leaderboard fields as the product design exposes (not OAuth tokens or full payout credentials);
authorities or third parties when we believe disclosure is required or permitted by law, or necessary to protect safety, rights, or integrity of the Services;
successors in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.

We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices. Their terms apply when you use their services.

India (DPDP Act, 2023)

If you are in India, we process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, to the extent they apply to our processing. Processing may be based on consent, performance of services you request, compliance with legal obligations, and other grounds recognized under Indian law.

Courses on Clip Camp are free; this Privacy Policy is not a paid-service contract.

Contact, rights, and grievance redressal (mandatory publication). We publish the business contact information of a person authorized to answer questions about our processing, the process for exercising your rights, and our grievance redressal timeline (not exceeding ninety (90) days) on clip-camp.com and in Contact and grievance redressal (India). That page is the controlling reference for names, designation, address, and procedure.

You may have rights regarding access, correction, erasure, grievance redressal, and nomination, subject to applicable law, verification, exceptions, and our legitimate needs (for example security, fraud prevention, or record-keeping). We will mention the authorized contact in substantive responses to communications about your rights under the Act, as required by law.

If we are classified as a Significant Data Fiduciary and must appoint a Data Protection Officer, we will update the contact page accordingly.

Other countries

If you access the Services from outside India, you do so at your own choice. We may process and store information in India and other locations where we or our providers operate. Local law may grant you additional rights; we will honor such rights only to the extent we are legally required to do so for that processing.

Retention

We retain information for as long as we consider necessary for the purposes above, including active use, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement. We may delete or retain data at our discretion when you stop using the Services, subject to legal retention requirements. When retention no longer applies, we may delete or anonymize data.

Data deletion

You may request deletion or erasure of personal data we hold, including data obtained from Google or Meta when you connected accounts. We do not delete your Telegram account (Telegram is a separate service).

Disconnect a linked social account (stop new collection):

Google / YouTube: Google Account permissions → remove Clip Camp.
Meta (Instagram / Facebook): Meta settings → Apps and websites → remove Clip Camp.

Revocation does not by itself erase copies we already stored.

Request deletion of Clip Camp data (including Google or Meta data we hold):

Email [email protected] with subject Data deletion request.
Include your Telegram username or user ID, which platforms you linked, and whether you already revoked Google/Meta access.
We may verify your identity before processing.

We will delete or anonymize personal data we are not required or permitted to retain (for example fraud prevention, payout audit, tax, or legal obligations). See Retention above.

Timeline: for users in India, personal-data grievances and related requests are handled within not more than ninety (90) days from receipt where the DPDP Rules apply; we may finish sooner when feasible.

Security

We use measures we consider reasonable to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure. You use the Services at your own risk. You are responsible for your Telegram account, device, and any credentials or authorizations you grant to third platforms.

Connected platforms (Google / YouTube and Meta)

Account linking uses YouTube API Services and Meta platform services. By connecting an account, you acknowledge the applicable platform terms and privacy policies, including:

We use API data only for functions described at link time and in this policy. Google user data we receive through Google or YouTube APIs is used only as disclosed in this policy and in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements: we do not use it for selling ads, retargeting, or credit decisions, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as disclosed here (for example service providers operating on our instructions) or as required by law.

You may revoke access in Google or Meta settings; features may cease without liability to us. To delete data we received from those APIs, see Data deletion above and Account and data deletion.

Children

The Services are not intended for individuals below the age required in our Terms of Use. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law. Contact us if you believe we have received such data.
